Basic Rules for Poker Games : How to Play Texas Hold ‘Em

The dealer deals down two cards to each player, the other players at the table do not see these cards.

This is then followed by the first betting round, Texas Hold ‘Em players then decided if they want to, Check, Bet, Raise Call or Fold.

Once this round is complete the dealer then begins to deal the ‘Community Cards’.

First the dealer burns one card before dealing three ‘Community Cards’. (Texas Hold ‘Em TERM – Flop – Dealer turns up three cards simultaneously)

Once the cards are dealt, the player to the left of the dealer who is still in the game decides if to Bet or Check.

After this betting round, the dealer then burns another card and deals a fourth ‘Community Card’.(Texas Hold ‘Em TERM – Fourth Street or Turn Card)

After this betting round the dealer burns another card before dealing the fifth and final card. (Texas Hold ‘Em TERM – River Card – Final Community Card)

This is followed by a betting round before players then attempt to make their best five card hand from the two they have and the ‘Community Cards’.
